“Scoring against weak teams does not make you a big player." Shoaib Akhtar hints at Babar Azam

In high voltage, the arch rivals disappointed the cricket fans with their low-grade performance against India in the ICC World Cup 2023. Their batting could not stand against the strong Indian bowling line-up. Their few batters got started but did not capitalize on those starts. On the note, former Pakistan’s pacer expressed disappointment in their batting performance, especially.

On his YouTube channel, while talking about the IND vs. PAK match in the 2023 ICC World Cup,  Shoaib Akhtar said about Pakistan’s poor performance:

"Very poor batting from Pakistan. It was a very nice wicket to bat on where 325 to 340 runs were possible, but Pakistan did not capitalize on that. I am disappointed that Pakistan is playing with just four batters; they don’t have a middle order. They got a chance to score 300 on that particular track, and chasing 300 runs is always not easy, but again, no Pakistani batter capitalized. I am very upset to see that there is no talent in Pakistan that can score big runs against big teams."

"Against heavy teams, you have to show that you are a big-match player. You are a big player when you score in big matches and bring big games. We need to support Pakistan because they are in the race now and have their chances. A very disappointing batting performance from Pakistan"

He also sugar-coated Indian spinners.

Look at India spin bowling; they are just amazing. Kuldeep and Jadeja never let you get heavy on them. I think Rohit Sharma made the wrong decision not to bat first on the batting surface; if they had batted first, I am sure they would have scored 350 or more runs easily.

The archrivals got off to a good start on the batting fest, but they just did the things wrong against Indian bowlers and bowled out just 191. Their batting looked clueless, and their bowling never looked in rhythm against India. Last, they got stunned by India with seven wickets in hand.
